Strong

Moving in general is a life changing experience.  Moving to another country as an adult is huge.  Moving to another country as a fifth and third grader is mind blowing and scary.  I have to say that both Jeremy and Elizabeth have shown so much strength and bravery this past week starting their new school, new teachers, new soccer team, new piano teacher and ballet teacher.  I deeply admire their bravery as small people navigating this new place.

Jeremy played his first soccer game here in The Netherlands on Saturday.  All of the players and the coach speak Dutch with the exception of one player whom Jeremy kindly refers to as “the translator”.  His coach makes sure to repeat the instruction in English for Jeremy so he can follow along.  However, our family has found that the language of soccer seems to be universal....

And, as for my Elizabeth, I think this picture speaks volumes of how strong she is...

Yes, I think we are going to be just fine here.:)

  1. Those kids learned how to be strong from their mother. 😊
